Celebrations are very much underway for the Downey family who own Osprey Meadow in Exelby after learning the news that they have been shortlisted for three awards in this year’s Yorkshire & Humberside Family Business Awards!
Since taking over the site in 2021 Phil, Lisa and Jude have put their hearts and souls into transforming their little corner of North Yorkshire countryside into the thriving holiday destination it is today. Lisa Downey, “From day one our vision has been to offer other families relaxing good value, quality accommodation with space for everyone to enjoy themselves and create memories together – we are constantly adding new elements to the site with the latest being electric car charging points, an interactive fairy trail for the little ones and renovating a barn into an al fresco dining area. To be nominated for just one award would have been amazing but to be shortlisted for three is just wonderful – we are so proud of what we have managed to achieve in just over a year and to receive this recognition is the icing on the cake!”
The Yorkshire & Humberside Family Business Awards are organised and run by The Family Business Community and provide the opportunity to champion family business across Yorkshire and Humberside – winners will be announced on 11th November at a ceremony being held the Headingley Stadium, Leeds…we wish Osprey Meadow the best of luck!
